ROKU adds new channels

If you’re staying in this weekend, be sure to update the settings on your Roku player. Starting Friday, they’re pushing a new software update that not only improves the already satisfying Netflix experience, but adds two new streaming channels.  One is the UFC or Ultimate Fighting Championship channel, and the other is a new music channel, called RadioTime.

UFC was rolled out to existing Roku users last week so you’re all set to catch the big fight on May 29th via pay per view. RadioTime, which offers streaming radio for music, talk, and sports, will become available on June 1st.

The upgrade to Netflix allows you to search the entire Netflix Instant Streaming Library from your TV screen, without having to boot up the laptop to make changes to your queue.

For baseball lovers, besides Netflix, the Roku box also offers content from Major League Baseball.

The upgrade will be rolling out over the next week.
