This is the weekend we set our clocks back. We say goodbye to Daylight Saving Time, and sadly, when we leave work on Monday, most of us will find it’s already dark out. While I usually ask myself  ’how many days until Spring’  the real question now is, do you remember how to set the clock on your microwave? If not, www.Retrevo.com, a website that calls itself one of the largest consumer electronics shopping and review sites in the world, has a free online clock-setting resource where you can download manuals for most of your gadgets. Especially helpful if your device is still programmed to automatically change the time on the old pre-2007 dates. It will search for your microwave, camera, VCR, Blu-ray player or other electronic device.

Since I have a CD Recorder in my Family Room that’s been flashing the wrong time for quite some time, (insert outdated tech jokes here) I gave it a try.  I went to http://www.retrevo.com/setyourclock entered the brand and model number and sure enough, there was the instruction manual. You have the option of downloading the entire manual, or you can click on sections. I clicked on the section called ‘clock settings’ and got the step-by-step directions on how re-set the time on my recorder. No excuses now. Except maybe I’ll wait until Sunday.
